The Lady Wildcat Varsity Golf team had an impressive performance this Saturday at the "Best of the West" Golf Tournament. This annual tournament held at Miami Whitewater Golf Course features teams from the GMC and GGCL conferences, plus independent Harrison. The Wildcats finished in second place behind GGCL power Seton, but the Cats defeated Oak Hills, Mercy McAuley, Fairfield and Hamilton.
Ava Farmer led her team with an 89, while Junior Sophia Viltro (91), Senior Carly Shircliff (93), and Senior Megan Knight (102) all shot personal records for 18 holes. Junior Sophia Merrill added a solid 101 for the Wildcat linksters who shot their 5th lowest 18 hole score (374) in Golf team history!
The Cats take on McNick on Thursday at "The Mill" Golf Course to wrap up regular season play. On Tuesday September 23rd the Wildcats return to Walden Ponds Golf Course to participate in state tournament sectional play.
